Market in Hangzhou
While exploring in Hangzhou we came across a food market, but not like any other food market I have ever seen before. This market not only had a wide assortment of fruits and vegetables, but also chickens, ducks, pigeons, sparrows, crabs, shrimp, frogs, eels, water snakes, turtles, as well as many other creatures.
These were not cooked and ready to consume, but still alive and crawling in the cages waiting for consumers to pick them out. It was very interesting not only to see the different types of food available but being able to see the culture up close and how unique it truly is.
